Take 1 capsule, 2 times a day, before main meals.

Properties

Depatic is a particularly active phytocomplex in supporting the liver’s depurative and protective functions.

Silymarin, the active ingredient extracted from milk thistle seeds, is a compound of 3 molecules: silybin, silychristin and silydianin, which have demonstrated an important protective activity on the hepatic cell.

Silymarin has antioxidant and hepatoprotective functions, and antagonises numerous hepatotoxic agents: phalloidin, alpha-amanitin (the Amanita phalloides’ toxic substances), lanthanides, carbon tetrachloride, galactosamine, ethanol (causing degenerative damage in alcoholism), etc.

The therapeutic effectiveness of silymarin is based on two action mechanisms: it impedes the toxic agents’ penetration into the hepatic cell, and stimulates its regeneration capacity.

Desmodium adscendens is a plant of African origin used since ancient times in a wide range of diseases.

Various studies confirm its efficacy on the biological and clinical level, in repairing and protecting the hepatic tissue from damages caused by chronic degenerative diseases (cirrhosis, hepatitis, etc.) and by some toxic substances (vegetable-based toxins, medicines, chemical poisons, etc.).

Desmodium acts by restoring the normal anatomical-functional structure of the hepatic tissue.

Its anti-inflammatory and protective action on the hepatic parenchyma is mediated by the inhibition of an enzyme (hepatic monooxygenase) that catalyses one of the biochemical reactions of transformation of the arachidonic acid into eicosanoids, the main pro-inflammatory molecules in the organism.

Desmodium adscendens also presents a protective and desensitising action in the lungs: indeed, it makes bronchi less sensitive to allergenic or irritating external agents, which cause bronchial asthma.
