CLA is a particular essential fatty acid from the Omega 6 series, found naturally in milk and dairy products, in adult beef, veal, turkey and chicken.
Several studies report its ability to modify body composition, promoting the percentage increase in lean body mass and the reduction of fat mass.
It is assumed that CLA acts simultaneously on both fats and proteins. On the lipidic front, it inhibits the activity of an intestinal lipase, an enzyme that normally digests fats, thus reducing digestion and absorption; it also promotes an increase in the oxidation of fats for energy purposes.
